At the D23 Expo, Marvel unveiled the first official trailer for the much anticipated Avengers: Infinity War. A vision that started in 2008 with the release of the first Iron Man movie which spurred the release of related movies for their other superhero properties. Well folks, it has all been building up to this moment, and this is a beautiful reason to be grateful for being a part of this generation. But first, continue reading for the Avengers: Infinity War trailer description.
We have all known for a while now that Infinity War has been the main focus of almost all the MCU movies released so far from Iron Man to Captain America to The Avengers to Civil war etc. It’s been Marvel’s grand plan for a cinematic build up to a legendary climax where Earth’s Mightiest heroes are pitched against a foe they likely cannot handle and could possibly die trying; THANOS (The big bald purple guy with an iron glove embedded with pebbles of all shades of Power Rangers…yeah, that guy)
According to sources who saw the trailer at the D23 Expo and our very own Enioluwa Awopejo who saw the leaked trailer, it was a pretty long but interesting trailer (if the trailer was this long, how many hours would the actual movie be? 4 hours maybe?- haha, I’d like to see this). Anyways, the buzz spurred this article into existence as i sourced for the Avengers: Infinity War trailer description
Well, the trailer begins with the usual Marvel Studios intro, then we see Thor crashing into the Guardians of the Galaxy spaceship. They team up and then fly to another planet which is in disarray. Straight to Scarlet Witch, who is moving around a couple of automobiles with her powers. Loki then emerges with the Tesseract and passes it on to someone else.
Then straight to Peter Parker getting goose bumps (obviously from the horror he was being faced with, wait a minute…spider sense?). “We have one advantage,” Tony Stark says. “He’s coming to us.” Almost immediately we see a ship crash, Iron Man, Mantis, Doctor Strange, Star-Lord , and a number of other characters are seen in total shock.
Emerging from an unexplainable black-hole is the Badass villain THANOS.
Doctor Strange and Guardians are then caught up in a fight with an unseen villain. Cut to Spider-Man, in his new suit revealed at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming (spoiler for those that haven’t seen homecoming!), jumping through the air. Charging into battle is the Wakandan army which includes Bucky (Spoiler for Black Panther). Captain America is caught with a full beard (this got us all curious).
The big purple villain Thanos, in the course of battle is seen wielding the Infinity Gauntlet and uses the power of the two Infinity stones he has to haul an entire moon toward whatever planet everyone is standing on. The debris starts to fly and…aaannndddd cut to title card…Thanks a lot Marvel…real smooth.
Nonetheless, Kevin Feige mentioned that Avengers: Infinity War will feature almost every hero from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (that’s almost 64 confirmed major characters already…WOW). Considering the number of characters that appeared in the trailer alone, one begins to wonder how many minutes each character would get, and how the plot would play out. The interactions, how these characters will blend together and how many hours we all would have to dedicate to watching the Infinity War movie if these characters are given their own fair share of time are all question which would be answered with time.
Either way, since all we’ve got is an Avengers: Infinity War trailer description, it’s still a long wait before we get to witness the long awaited battle between the Avengers and Then Mad Titan (Thanos) in theatres on 1 May, 2018. Let me know what you think about the Avengers: Infinity War trailer description.
